Today, the cluster boasts companies operating in the original integrated logistics sector, as well as in high-precision mechanics, watchmaking, renewable energy and other activities with innovative processes and content. Companies with diversified skills, a production line and research and development divisions within them, which create highly qualified jobs and generate added value in the region.

Of the almost 100,000 sqm of building area, 25% of the site is still available and there are underused spaces available through specific rent agreements.

The active management of the area is assigned to the Area Manager, a professional figure integrated within the team of the Mendrisiotto and Lower Ceresio Regional Development Agency (ERS-MB), who works closely with the Municipality of Balerna and the Cantonal Economic Development Office (USE) of the Department of Finance and Economy (DFE). The aim is to support and promote innovation, sustainable development and economic growth in the local community.

The project is a virtuous example of public-private collaboration and is supported at the institutional level by municipal, cantonal and federal contributions as part of the regional economic policy (NPR).
